Tommy, Tina & Brandy
So, the new joke at work is that whenever I comment about a cute looking dog my coworkers ask me if I’m going to adopt that one too.
All the dogs are doing really well, Tina is going to be 5 this year and she’s still hopping around great. You can really tell that she’s had puppies, her mothering instincts are pretty neat to watch when they kick in. Our son, Jaxom, got really sick with the flu two months ago and she would sit beside him, sometimes with Brandy, all day while he wasn’t feeling well. If there is something wrong, she is beside those kids comforting them and snuggling until they feel better. If one of the other dogs is hungry, she sometimes gives them food. If Brandy or Tommy is misbehaving, she is quick to correct them. It’s pretty interesting.
Every morning the kids get up, eat some breakfast, then sit down to watch cartoons until school. The dogs jump up and get snuggles until it’s time for them to go. And every night we sit together and have another snuggle session. We try not to deviate from this routine as the dogs really like it.
Tina has also gotten adept at going up the stairs to the bedrooms, so much so that she has been trapped upstairs a couple of times when she’s gone to lie down in her crate for a while and no one knew she was up there. The kids are pretty good at noticing, and fortunately she hasn’t had to stay up there too long. She just goes to the top of the stairs and waits patiently for them.
We have also been walking them everyday, and while Tina is most excited, Brandy is a close second, and Tommy would prefer to sit somewhere in the sun instead of going and getting exercise.
I would like to thank all of you for the time and effort you put into saving these dogs and making sure that they are ready and able to be adopted to awesome people and be successful! I don’t know what we would do without our little dog friends. Even when you’re alone, you always have a furry friend ready to listen to you or hang out and relax. Tommy, Tina and Brandy have changed our lives for the better and we couldn’t be more thankful for them.
All the Best,
Cody, Tasha, Danny, Jaxom, Tommy, Tina and Brandy
